From The Beatrice Letters by Lemony Snicket.

Putting favorite passages on my planner to kill the time and placing this particular one on the love month just because..

I’m not really the most artistic person you’ll ever meet but I always try to engrave things that left an impression on me. Since my brain will be stuffed with school-related things, I might as well have them on print.

I really love this tune when I heard it on TV! I thought it was a good sign to start 2012 and I’m always optimistic that 2012 will be a good year despite the threats that this will be the last year of mankind (oh please, I want to reach adulthood at least). Here’s the video if you haven’t seen it!

It was pretty much my own fantasy of optimism. I know most people hate Mondays, but hey, ain’t it good to feel that you finished another week? HOORAY FOR TODAY!

First quote on my planner to remind me that everyone is a copy of a copy. Also serves as a boost when I don’t have motivation to make artsy stuff for the sake of my own creative sanity.

I’m still confused to admit to myself where I’m actually good at. It’s such a hard thing to do. You know, finding things within yourself.

A sample of things I write on my planner.

I love writing excerpts from books that I’ve read. Usually I post them on my other blog or jot them down just to remind me what kind of lines struck me and serve as helpful advice when the going gets tough. I’d like to transfer more excerpts in my planner especially the lines that I highlighted and saved on iBooks (and because my planner has a lot of empty pages). I’m still stuck on 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami but the twist of events have gotten more interesting.

The above excerpt is the lullaby Katniss sang to Rue when she was dying in the woods. The words are really beautiful and I could only imagine a very relaxing and soft tune to it but the movie didn’t meet my expectations. (Heeee, sorry for the crappy handwriting!)

Never Too Late

I really had a depressing day today.
I was mentally blocked while taking my major exam this afternoon. Even the simplest formula was lost in my mind. I rushed to leave school because I really didn’t want to hear my classmates discuss the answers about the exam.

The sun had already set and my dad was texting me to come home but I went to the grocery first to buy a kilo of choco powdered drink and a loaf of bread. When I got home, I forgot that I actually had a package from Naga.

What a way to compensate a most probably failed exam, a Starbucks 2012 planner. I got it from a giveaway courtesy of Nick of nickastig.me (you should follow him).

I’ve always wanted a planner of my own but I didn’t imagine how costly it could be and the fact that there’s not even a branch of the bookstores that sell planners here in my city. The nearest one is 88 kms. away!

I did not expect this planner to be so.. beautiful. The cover is actually made of wood?! (This one’s Cherry) And I really love the bag that came with it (plus the coupons and bookmark).

I’m expecting that by the end of 2012, this will be full of ink (and creativity, I wish) with memories and titles of songs and important reminders for school. Thank you Nick (if you’re reading this) for the planner. You cured a part of my depression.
