August 6, 2011. CBAA Days. Photo-Essay Contest - Champion. Theme: CBAA Going Beyond Borders: Synergy for Excellence Through Teamwork, Commitment, Integrity and Accountability In a game of basketball, a team must make its way through the opponent’s defense to score. It could not do so without everyone’s cooperation and dedication to the sport. It requires a strategy - knowing every member’s strength and weakness and using them to its full potential to achieve its goal. In this photo, the players represent the populace of CBAA, having successfully passed the border of a struggling defense from victory. With their hands reaching for the ball and jumping high to grab it, it shows how the players are dedicated to work together for a common aim - striving for excellence by winning the game. Because there have been people who requested that I post my winning entry for the Photo-Essay Contest last CBAA Days. I must say that I’m really happy that I could win something that’s related to this field. I really thought I couldn’t do it at first because the theme was so long and complex and we only had to take one photo. It was really a struggle finding the right idea on which subject to capture. Yet, support from family and friends really pushed me to do my best and I couldn’t afford to let the Blue Team down. I’m really thankful that there are people who believed in me and now, I’m going to represent the college for the same event on a much higher level - during the Palakasan. I’m still having the jitters what the theme will be and also because I’m gonna be competing against better photographers and/or writers but I’d really like to give this a shot and see how far I could go. Tomorrow’s my day and I’ll be going solo. God bless CBAA.

I must say that I’m really happy that I could win something that’s related to this field.
