Camiguin Highland Resort
Our temporary home away from home.

Welcome to Camiguin Highland Resort!
(And no, I’m not getting paid to post this) From the name itself, you’d have to go through uphill roads just to get here. I’ve heard that this place is one of the most posh hotels in the island so my expectations in staying are very high. And they were met because from all the out-of-town conventions I’ve been to, this has been the best accommodation so far for so many reasons.

The lobby. Very spacious and the receptionists were friendly (although sometimes they tend to be MIA by the time we give the keys).

Majority of the IIT delegates stayed in the second floor and there’s one room in the 3rd floor occupied by the guys.

My sense of balance is lost.

Our room!

Sorry for the clutter but there’s actually 9 of us girls sleeping in this room and all of us just fit in snuggly. Behind those curtains is a balcony which has a small table that’s really good for reading or getting some cool breeze and right below you can see a pond where the koi carps are. The bathroom has a tub and we also had a mini-fridge, TV, and a dresser.
We actually researched the rates for this hotel and who would’ve thought that we actually got the sweetest deal ever? The cheapest was P2500 a night and we only paid less than that and that already covers food, transportation, accommodation, and registration for the whole convention. Everything really.

Uphill and being in the second floor? That means a great view!

I like taking my breakfast here because I get to enjoy the scenic view and the cool breeze. And, did I also mention that the food they serve here is delicious? Prolly the greatest service ever because breakfast is served in a plate already rather than having it in a buffet. You’d always start your mornings right. Food is fresh and most importantly (for me), rice is plenty for one serving!

The pool area! I’ve never actually dipped in the pool but I enjoyed relaxing in those chairs over there. Definitely a paradise it is here! I really recommend this place to everyone who’ll be spending their summer in Camiguin.
