A Merry JPIAn Christmas!
Two days ago was the 2nd General Assembly and Christmas Party for JPIAns! This was also the time were everybody handed over their donations as the JPIA Executive Council will hold an outreach program with Dangpanan sa Kabataan as our beneficiaries.
Thank you CHIVAS (1st year), ARIVA (2nd year), 3VO (3rd year), 4VIDAS (4th year), and VIVO (5th year) for your donations! And yes, every batch has a name. ;)
My batchmates were getting ready for the two contests in line with this event. It started at around 1:30PM and we do admit that we were a wee bit tad late!

We had to rush because only the 3rd years were not in the venue. Good thing Ding brought her car and there were about 14 girls inside her CR-V! Talk about being canned sardines for a while!

When we arrived, it was Ate Sol, Vice President for Budget and Finance, giving the report on the budget for this semester.

Different officers discussed the upcoming events for the 2nd semester. I’m personally looking forward to the Annual Regional Convention in Camiguin. I really, really wanna go but Y IS REG FEE SO EXPENSIVE?! LOL
Here’s Van, president of the local chapter of JPIA here in our side of the archipelago, answering questions during the open forum. That ends part one of the programme! Now, off to the Christmas Party!
The Christmas Party is composed of contests - Nasaan Ka Santa? (actually a search for the best Santa Claus from the department) and the Sing and Dance Contest.

First part was “Nasaan Ka Santa?” A Santa represented each year level and they went through series of challenges before they could award the Best Santa. The first challenge was having the longest breath to say “Merry Christmas Ho Ho Ho…” Here’s Harris from CHIVAS.

Bryan from ARIVA

The Santas! Harris (CHIVAS), Brian (ARIVA), Nick (3VO), and Jiggy (4VIDAS). The 5th years (VIVO) were not able to join us because they had to have their classes on that day. Sad :<
The Santas also played a game of Pinoy Henyo (photos were blurry. I really hate the lighting inside the gym. Meh~)
Next, was the Sing and Dance Contest. At least 10 people were required to join to sing and dance to their favorite Christmas songs. We spent the weekend practicing over our number - the muscle pain I felt was like cheerdance training all over again. What’s great about this is that most of us joined to the performance part while the others were in charge on our costumes, make-up, hair and props! Parang Showtime lang ang sinalihan. :))

Cute bows from the CHIVAS! :3

Team Ariva’s turn to dance! Wearing a laboratory gown and sing like a choir then taking it off when the beat starts to build up.
And off to my favorite part! Of course, my batchmates, ang aking mga ka-3VO!

Our beautiful singers! Kat, Irene, and Lhuette (that’s pronounced as “Loit”). Hi Sheldon at the back!

Quick photo before we perform!
Nobody was able to take pictures using my camera when we performed because nobody from my classmates knew how to use it. Meh~ But it was really fun, actually! It’s been a long time that I get to be part of a big group while dancing.

Last but not the least, the 4VIDAS!
Leoj and Cladie at the beginning were adorbs! ♥ (Wish I took a photo! I was going moe when they performed their skit)
Before announcing the results, a game of Paint Me a Picture was played! Each year was very creative with their interpretations of the different Christmas scenarios.

Birth of Jesus.

Christmas in the Philippines.
No, he’s not singing. He’s acting as a drunkard!

I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus.
The Arivas had to win this scenario because one boy and girl almost kissed with only a thumb preventing them to seal the deal!
Winners of the Sing and Dance Contest:

3rd Runner-Up: 4VIDAS

2nd Runner-Up: ARIVA

1st-Runner Up: CHIVAS

CHAMPIONS: 3VO!
Jiggy from 4VIDAS won as Best Santa, BTW.

Big thanks to my fellow officers for this event! Merry Christmas JPIAns~
